I am going to put my blog back on the map. I've been boring myself not rambling on - on a daily basis about my day to day antics.
I am going to re-start my blog by sharing with you my trip to Badminton Horse Trials with my husband. We were lucky enough to travel down to Gloucestershire and share the Badminton experience with thousands of other fans this month. The weather was superb and after buying and wearing some nice new horsey clothes purchased from the stalls at Badminton, I was also wearing a Badminton tan for free.

We got up close and personal with the super stars of every horse mad persons elite idols. I took many photos so I will find time shortly to put them all at a link for you for easy access.

The hubby and I actually stayed at the Travel lodge in Gloucestershire centre, the night before our drive up to Badminton. I would advise anyone reading this, NOT to stay at that new, but totally basic, unclean version of the once famous travel lodges. What has happened to that company? We have used them for years but they seem to be getting much worse on each of our visits to them. This one in particular was dirty,it even had a used tampax in the bin and that's for starters. It was so off putting,so much so, we are now going to have our short stays in the UK at Premier Inns or joining many Brits, with a camping experience. We used to like travel lodges alot. They are a bit like mac donalds. Where ever you are in the world, you know what you are getting at a mac donalds and they always taste the same. That was the beauty of travel lodges. Sadly, they have lost their low budget, straight forward charm in our eyes, they are much more basic than before and they just dont seem to manage to get some decent cleaners in, then again, a bit of speculation here, but they probably pay peanuts.

The hubby and I were so impressed with the whole area that the trials are situated in. So scenic. Badminton itself was magnificant. The people were all 'proper'. I know that's a peculier word to use, but, I'm finding it hard to put into my sort of words what I mean. Everyone seemed to appear well educated, well mannered, pleasant, pocess awfully good manners, very civilised. For the thousands and thousands that head for Badminton, there was very minimal security. Well, if there were security methods in place, they were extremely minimal as in a visual force. Everything seemed very informal yet you felt utterly safe. You feel more of an intimidated aura around you at a football match and at them, there are many thousands less in attendence.

These are just an example of the many photo I have taken at Badminton this year. I also forgot to tell you, it was my first ever time at Badminton Horse Trials. I can't believe it myself really. Been into horses at the age of 9yrs and never got round to going! We chose our year to go well as it was apparantly ,the best ever turn out Badminton has ever recorded. No wonder it was a fabulous atmosphere! By the way everyone, if you too, haven't yet experienced it, you can actually walk around the jumps yourself and wow, they are mahoosive!
Anyway, everyone, it was just a quickie back here. I will have a photobucket link for you to see the rest of the photos
It is now ....just past 11pm at night and I have school tomorrow, yawn yawn, wink wink, so that's me folks, night night.
