I went to LONDON yeahhhhh

My beautiful husband treated me to a secret little few days get away. Guess where.........

Please ask permission to copy any of my photos. I took this from our tour ferry on the Thames
(Please note; I own all the photos within this post, if you would like a full size copy, please email me at jen7254@yahoo.com, thank you)

Hubby took me to LONDON. Yeahhhh.

I cant believe since my last post that I have been in amongst the hustle and bustle of the olympics in London. We went for three days and wow, I am so in awe of such an amazing city. They certainly know how to put on a show for the internationals that are there. What an ace time to experience the city experience during the olympics. I still can't wind down. I can't believe how everything looks so poops where I am now. We just dont have the buildings or architecture here, or the culture or history to show off, here in NW Lancs. London has done something to my husband and I, we can't put our finger on it. We both just love it. We have been to lots of southern areas through our travels to footy matches i.e. Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham, Fulham, Southhampton etc etc but never IN London itself. We've also been to cities like Madrid and Barcelona etc but you just can't beat London. No way, too much to see and do in easy to get to areas.

We stayed at the De Vere in Horsley. It is such a posh area and a real posh leafy suburb. You had to give way for all the Porches and BMWs haha. Stunning homes, stunning place, lovely lovely. Our hotel was only one mile down the road from the train station that takes you directly into London (hubby does well in these things). We caught the train that took just half an hour from our hotel straight into Waterloo station.

My god. Walking out of Waterloo station I could not believe how brill the city buzz was. I was stood on the bridge looking over the river Thames thinking 'wow, look at this place' it was just mental, it was heaving, I loved all the multi cultural languages you could hear being spoken, I loved all the flags and faces painted in national colours of supporters to their teams. I just loveeeeeeee it all. I could go on and on.

All our plans went like clockwork, my hubby always organises holidays well , no matter where in the world he wants to go. What we did realise whilst there is, we definately didn't have enough days to soak up the atmosphere. GB have done a fabulous job in hosting the olympics in all respects. The city is crammed with olympic helpers at every turn. We are offered maps of everything for free, in fact, at waterloo station we were even offered free ice cream or/and ice lollies!

We were also on the tour ferry at the right time and the right place as we had chance to take lots of photos of the actuall tower bridge raising up to allow a large ferry underneath. How lucky was that. It was also great seeing the huge big photo of the queen that was shown on television as they travelled along the Thames for the jubilee. I feel well in there haha.

We were also in the right place at the right time to see the horses at the Horse Guards Parade where the volleyball was being held, to see them change guard, one went off duty and one came on, all very official, weren't I a lucky horse person to see that, I also took pix of anything horsey related to do with the olympics haha.

Good eh! Thats it with the photos for now folks! Its hard work sorting them all out. I will do another post after our second visit shortly.

I'm not well at the moment so please ignore all the poor gramar and mistakes. Cant wait to write an update when we've taken the kids for the ending ceremony in London.

I've done nothing with regards to riding lately due to only getting back late yesterday, i've kept them out enjoying themselves whilst the weather is nice, no point starting anything serious with them yet if we are taking mini breaks here and there ha . will write soon, hope you enjoyed the pix x
